My Travel Guard is not a top-up plan - You have to cover your entire trip's length length (the date you leave home until the date you return home). |
Important Information:
- You can't change your coverage dates after you leave on your trip. Your coverage dates must match the exact dates you are away from home.
- The My Travel Guard Snowbird Travel Insurance policy is a reimbursement policy (you pay for your medical treatment & prescriptions up front and are reimbursed after filing your claim). The insurance company may pay the medical claim directly, but it's on a case-by-case basis.
- The My Travel Guard plan has a 180 pre-existing conditions Lookback Period.
** You can waive the pre-existing conditions if you this plan no later than 14 days after your initial trip depost date **

You'll want to know upfront that Travel Guard's prices are based on your age, travel dates, purchase date versus departure date, destination & other factors. For example
1 person age 73, to USA for 3 months with US $50,000 Secondary medical & $1,000,000 with "Hospital of Choice" evacuation:
- Departure date is the next day = $2,008
- Departure date is 2 or 3 days in the future = $1,454
- Departure date is 4 - 7 days in the future = $1,254
- Departure date is 8 - 13 days in the future = $728
- Departure date is 15 or more days in the future = $684
This is an example - the prices will vary from person to person
